"A & M Custom Embroidery" formed in Summer 2011 when Tattoo Artist, Angus Hendry and Artist, Madison Omahne combined their unique crafts of hand embroidery and traditional American tattoo imagery.
The process evolves from a custom tattoo drawn onto raw canvas by Angus, then Madison stitches the outline in black and highlights the image with color. The design is embroidered onto raw canvas, like a tattoo is inked into skin as the artists reinterpret these classic images to create a work of their own.
Angus Hendry is a Tattoo Artist at “Hand of Glory” in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY. Madison Omahne received her Master’s in Fine Arts in Sculpture from Brooklyn College in 2011 and has exhibited throughout New York and Miami. Both artists live and work together in Brooklyn along with their dogs, King and Oates.
